In views of drug shortages in recent years, TFDA has put in place measures to deal with drug shortage management. As a pharmaceutical company focusing on ophthalmic drugs, Winston Medical Supply Co. Ltd, is a subsidiary owned by Medigen Biotechnology, has put a lot of effort into developing Vitamin A eye medication for xerophthalmia and keratitis which had been in shortage. At the International Conference on Durg Shortages held on 5 May 2015, Winston Medical Supply Co. Ltd was commended by TFDA for the company’s effort towards drug shortage management in Taiwan.
