New Drug Development: The short-term plan is to demonstrate capability and recognizable track records in early phase clinical development, as evinced in MBCs PI-88 case. This execution of the short-term plan will strengthen clinical capability essential to transitioning the company to a profitable stage, and thus enable MBC to further expand its development pipeline. The mid-term plan aims to bring 2~3 projects into USFDA or EMA approved late stage trial, and to seek licensing/partnering opportunities with global pharma. The long-term plan is for Medigen to evolve into a leading Asian bio-pharmaceutical company, proficient in developing, manufacturing and marketing a series of new therapeutics for cancers and liver diseases.

Nucleic Acid Tests: With the successful launching of HLA Kits globally in 2007, MBCs short term plan is to establish core ability and technology platform in order to generate revenue from product sales and marketing. 3 years mark the mid-term stage (2009~2012) where MBC expects to obtain DOH (Taiwan) and SFDA (China) approval and sales for a series of NAT products related to pathogen detection in China, particularly for diseases of national public health significance, such as Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C and HIV infections. The long term plan aims to further integrate precise machinery and NAT technologies, in order to serve fully automatic workstations for blood banks, and to develop a full range of NAT products for infectious pathogen detection, hereditary diseases detection and other clinical uses.
